August 8, 2009 ~ I’ve known Liz since high school, we also went to college together. And while I’ve kept in touch with her from my residences in various Midwest states…. she has been traveling the world!!! Literally. From Africa to Kazakhstan to Italy to all over the United States, she’s been around the world. It was in her doctorate program at the University of Missouri that she finally met David. And while I only knew David via her facebook profile up until 2 days before the wedding I could tell IMMEDIATELY when he walked into Panera w/ her that David was like Liz’s other half; that no other guy had ever or would ever fit her like David does. Few people find that in life, yet is seems Liz and David have. The way they look at each other and the way they are so obviously in love with one another is almost hard to be around. But in the best way possible!!! Truly. And while I am not the only photographer that Liz and I went to college or high school with [quite a few of us chose this path ironically enough] – I am the only one she chose to capture her wedding.
Liz, I could not be more humbled and yet proud at the same time; to know you and now to have spent your wedding day with you (who else would have been there during the critical dress moment – ok, I kid on that one). It was quite the honor and I hope I did you proud!!! David, it was such a blessing to meet you and spend time getting to know you and I know that you will be the most amazing husband to Liz. I wish you both a life of immense blessing, joy and love!!!
Both the ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Glen Oaks country club in Farmington Hills, Michigan. It is super elegant, w/ the style of an old English manor home. Liz’s mom, Rhonda, pulled the look of this wedding together like the true pro she probably should be. I mean really, paying a wedding planner would have been a waste w/ her talent! And I am told she had a fabulous team assisting her. They should go pro as well. The details were to die for!!! If she gives me permission, I am giving out her contact information to every Michigan bride I know. What do you say Rhonda?![]()

I have to also say thank you to my fabulous associate Dan, who really was a champ for this wedding! He drove to MI in torrential rain and he was everywhere I needed him all day long with the most amazing attitude. AND – his photographs from the day really do rock my socks off! Dan, you are the man!!
