Marcy & Todd – Canton, OH – Wedding Photography

Marcy & Todd’s wedding was a special day for me – not only because they are dream clients in truly every way a client can be but also because I got to shoot their wedding w/ my dear friend and gallery partner: Jodi Wilson of Picture This.  She’ll tell you she isn’t a wedding photographer, and in all fairness, I guess she isn’t.  BUT – you’d never know it by looking at the images she captured for this wedding.

Marcy was a gorgeous bride, the kind of bride that just takes your breath away.  She looked like she’d stepped right out of the pages of a magazine.  I think Todd thought that too, since he definitely teared up when he saw her coming down the aisle.  Then again, Todd was no slouch either…he rocked that tux like he was Cary Grant!!  And the way they looked at each other all day long…one could so easily tell how in love they are and how happy they are going to be.  What an honor it was to shoot yet another part of their love story.  I knew from how much fun I had with them while shooting their engagement session that this was going to be a great day, BUT – it exceeded all my expectations!!

I adore the little spot that we found for some quick portraits on the way to the church – may have to drive over there for an e-session or portrait session sometime. Awesome color near Lake Cable!!

So St. Joan of Arc, while very modern, has soo many cool elements. Between Jodi and myself – I think we captured most of the coolest details. And yet, again, still didn’t miss the important moments. I’m kind of diggin’ church architecture lately!!

Marcy very wisely planned A LOT of time for wedding party portraits and portraits of her and Todd. What a smart woman!! And it paid off – we were able to get some really wonderful photographs I think!! We also had a ton of fun together during that time!! I appreciate that the ladies in the wedding party endured the bitter cold very cheerfully. They were troopers.

Ok, Marcy’s dad’s toast to the B&G…hands down best toast since the Ehler wedding in September 2008. I laughed and cried and am thinking that Danette’s dad and Marcy’s dad may need to meet one another. They’d get along great I think!!

And then the real partying began. UMP kept the party going strong w/ a great selection of music and this was definitely a group of wedding guests determined to never leave the floor empty. It was a really really fun time!!

Phillip Allen - What a stunning potpourri of images. I’m getting the impression Kirsten that either you keep getting the happiest, smiliest, liveliest couples or you’ve got a talent for bringing out the best in them. Actually it’s going to be a mixture of both really. That rooftop ending is really touching too; you’ve framed a beautiful mood there.November 12, 2009 – 4:53 am
