Babies are a beautiful, blessed thing in this life that can so often be filled w/ pain & war & disease. So when a parent loses a child…there’s some kind of cruelty to that which I (even as an adult) have a hard time reckoning. I’ll get back to positive happy thoughts on this blog soon. Very soon, I promise.
But my heart is breaking still today, for the Norton family; and now for my friends and former clients: The Wiltons. Amanda was my roommate way back when and then I had the very immense privilege of photographing her marriage to Dan in 2007. It was a beautiful day and such a blessing for me to be a part of. When Amanda announced her and Dan were going to be parents, I knew they’d just be amazing for that job. I believe they still will be one day. And so I’m sending prayer and love and blessing their way. They are amazingly strong and wonderful people – and I believe they will see their wishes granted!
*Because there are no baby pictures pertinent to the Norton’s or Wilton’s; yet I can’t put up a post without a picture, being a photographer……..the above image is my favorite that I’ve ever taken of a baby. It is of dear Chloe Rose (taken in 2008). Her mom, Jennifer was my friend and I had the privilege of capturing Chloe’s entire first year of life a little bit every month. Chloe helped me fall in love with the wonder that is a child’s life.*
